FCC Okays License Transfers Between Cumulus, Family

The FCC has approved the transfer of license for WDVY 106.3 FM Mount Kisco., NY.

The action transfers the license from Cumulus to Family Stations, which will use the facility to broadcast is content to part of the New York City Metro.

The transfer is part of the deal for the license of WFME 94.7 FM Newark, NY, which Cumulus is acquiring from Family Stations.  FCC has also okayed that transfer.

The two actions should clear the way for  the expected format change for 94.7 FM, which has the better coverage of the two facilities.  To view the FCC's public notice of approval, Click Here.

Cumulus Media Tuesday appointed Kim Bryant as its new market manager for NYC and she’ll oversee all broadcast operations, including the format flip for 94.7FM.

The pieces are coming together and the speculation concerning format possibilities and start date has the Radio Discussions Message Board buzzing. Click Here.
