Tucson Radio: Lois New PD At 94.9 MIX-FM

It’s not often a radio program director gets to appoint his own successor.

However, it happened in Tucson this week as longtime KXMZ 94.9 MIX-FM PD and morning host Bobby Rich named Leslie Lois at the station’s new programmer.

Lois was hired by Rich in 2000 and has served as his APD and MD at the Journal Broadcast AC station.

"After more than 12 years as Assistant Program Director and Music Director, performing many of the daily programming duties, I'm proud to name Leslie as the new program director of MIXfm," added Rich, who will continue at morning drive host and Direcvtor o the cluster’s community partney program.

"It's a tremendous opportunity, one I've dreamed of doing, and I am truly honored by the trust and belief in my skills to lead this station," said Lois. "I plan on continuing MIX-FM’s success and building upon what Bobby has done to grow our relationship with listeners, clients and community leaders!"
