Sac Radio: Rob, Arnie & Dawn Post Apology

UPDATE: R-A-D have left time-out and their syndicated show has returned to KRXQ as of Tuesday 4/23/13.  The return to 98-rock station happened the same day that parent company Entercom made a $25,000 donation to The One Fund. The fund was set up to assist victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. (See posting, Click Here)

earlier posting....

The morning show trio have been off-air at KRXQ in Sacramento since last week when they appeared to be mocking Boston during the Marathon Bombing aftermath.

Their “Hate Boston” list bit was vilified by crosstown KHTK host Don Geronimo and shortly after Entercom management pulled the show from the 98 Rock air.  No return date has been given.

A possible step toward a return may have been taken Monday when the following apology was posted on the R-A-D website.
"Last week and again this morning, content from some of our broadcasts and photos from our websites were taken completely out of context and published with innuendo or suggestion that somehow we or RAD Radio have been insensitive to the victims of the Boston tragedy. We are sad and disgusted that those two monsters inflicted such extraordinary pain and damage and we stand with Boston and everyone else seeking answers and justice. To the degree anything we have done or said, regardless of context, is or has been construed as insensitive or offensive to the victims of the Boston tragedy, we whole-heartedly and sincerely apologize.
As always, thank you for your continued support."
No word yet from Entercom management on a return date, although the show is still listed on the KRXQ website.
