NE PA Radio: Medeck’s Deal For WAZL Falls Apart

Ken Medek last fall entered in an LMA agreement to operate WAZL 1490 AM in Hazleton, PA., pending sale of the station to him.

Medek, who wakes-up mornings at Beasley’s country WXTU 92.5 Philadelphia and for many years was a radio personality at Top WKRZ 98.5 FM  and country WGGY Froggy 101 in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre/Hazleton market,  couldn’t close the deal.  Under the LMA Medeck’s wife reportedlty was the station manager starting last November.

So, Panorama PA has now sold the station to Geos Communications for $30.000
