R.I.P.: Longtime Country Personality Lee Rogers

Lee Rogers
Country Radio Hall of Famer Lee Rogers passed away Wednesday while in hospice care.

He was 67-years-old and suffered a serious stroke last week in Sandy,  Oregon.

Rogers has  40-year career in radio which included  Country KMPS/Seattle, KEEY/Minneapolis, WQIK Jacksonville, Fl and KUPL Portland, where he served 15 years as OM, PD and morning personality.

Rogers suffered the first of a series of strokes in 2009 and had recently relocated to Sandy, OR.

Country consultant Jaye Albright paid tribute to Rogers:  "Lee loved guitars, nightclubs, country music, radio, family and his many, many friends with myriad associations from each of those things.  To say that he was bigger than life and a people person would be gross understatements."
