Orlando Radio: JVC To Acquire WHKQ 103.1 FM

JVC Media has agreed to acquire Spanish Contemptatory WHKQ 103.1 FM KQ103 from TTB Media Corp. The deal is reported to be worth $10M.

TTB Media is a Florida company majority owned by Adam Lindemann and owns no other stations. JVC Media is headed by partners John Caracciolo and Victor J. Canales, along with Northwood Ventures, where Paul Homer is a Principal.

With four FM stations in the 20th ranked Nassau-Suffolk, NY, radio market, JVC Media and its affiliated companies are among the largest independently owned and locally operated radio broadcasters and entertainment companies on Long Island.

It also owns and operates four radio stations serving the Gainesville-Ocala, FL, market. The company also has entered into agreements to acquire three stations and two translators serving the West Palm Beach, FL market.

TTB Media purchased the station in 2011 and flipped then-WLOQ-FM from Smooth Jazz.

The transaction, which is subject to FCC approval, was brokered by Tampa-based Serafin Bros. Inc.
