FNC Host Shepard Smith Has Advice For Kennedy

Shepard Smith
Fox News afternoon anchor Shepard Smith has carved an image for himself as a straight-shooting reporter on a network known for the strong conservative slant to most of its coverage. But, according to The Inquisitr, when the female host of a new program on Fox Business Channel expressed her admiration for Smith, the 51-year-old newsman came back with some rather unusual advice (starting at :42-seconds into the video).

The exchange took place Tuesday on the Fox Business program hosted by 42-year-old Lisa Kennedy Montgomery, who is perhaps still best known for her stint in the early 1990s as an MTV personality calling herself by the mononym “Kennedy.”

Though even then Kennedy was known for her sharply conservative political point of view, she hosted MTV’s Alternative Nation program from 1992 until 1997, a show that was instrumental in popularizing the “alternative” genre of music then known as “alternative rock,” including such bands as Nirvana and Pearl Jam.

In 2013, Kennedy became a Fox News personality, hosting a panel discussion broadcast titled The Independents. Now she has a new show on Fox Business, and she hosted Shepard Smith as one of her first guests.

She started the exchange by telling Smith how, as a radio talk show host, she would often cold-call Fox News hoping go get Smith in the phone.
