Cincy Radio: Seylkouwer Released On Bond

Blake Seylhouwer
Nearly four days after a jury found him guilty on two negligent assault charges, a former radio host accused of shooting at his wife is out of jail, according to WCPO-TV9.

Originally charged with felonious assault, Blake Seylhouwer was found guilty Friday on two lesser counts of negligent assault. He also faced a charge of domestic violence for the shooting, but that count was declared a mistrial after the jury of nine women and three men couldn't make a unanimous decision.

The prosecution can decide to retry the case, Judge Robert Winkler said.

Seylhouwer remained in the Hamilton County jail over the weekend as he waited to secure money to post a $50,000 bond for his release, his attorney said.

On Monday, that bond was reduced to $500 cash, but paperwork delayed the man's release to his home where he has been ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device.

The maximum sentence for Seylhouwer’s conviction is less than what he's already served.
