WA Radio: KONP Morning Host Sidelined By Fall

In Port Angeles, WA, Longtime KONP 1450 AM / K269FX 101.7 T-FM morning personality Scooter Chapman has been knocked off the air after a fall this weekend at his home.

Chapman fell from his back porch Saturday and damaged ligaments in both knees. The injuries required surgery. He will be unable to make it into the studio for a few weeks while he undergoes rehabilitation.

However, Scooter does plan to stay involved with the station via some phone appearances during parts of his morning “Breakfast Show”.

Scooter has been a staff member at N/T KONP for more than sixty
years.

He has hosted KONP's weekday morning program for more than 20 years.
Chapman is the second longtime on-air staff member knocked of the air due to health issues at KONP.

Dan Kari is just returning to the air after being sidelined a number of weeks after undergoing vocal cord surgery. Dan has hosted the afternoon news program at the station for more than 15 years.
