AMS Signs Glenn Johnson as Executive Producer

Glenn Johnson
Cumulus announces that America’s Morning Show hosted by Blair Garner has signed on new Executive Producer, Glenn “Qtip” Johnson.

Johnson most recently hosted mornings on WCYQ/Q100 Country in Knoxville, TN for Scripps Broadcasting. Prior to that, he was morning host (as “Qtip”) for Cumulus Top 40 station WABD in Mobile, AL. He also hosted the morning show for Dittman Broadcasting’s WABB in Mobile. Johnson takes the producing reins for America’s Morning Show on June 15.

Garner said: “Glenn has an energy and enthusiasm for radio that is infectious. His drive and passion are the perfect fit for our team. And like the rest of us, he has a fondness for energy drinks! What more could you want? Welcome to the family, Glenn."

Johnson said: “I'm still in shock! The chance to run with this immensely talented pack is surreal. Huge thanks to John Dickey, Mike McVay and Blair Garner for making this happen."

America’s Morning Show host Blair Garner has won the Academy of Country Music’s award for On-Air Personality of the Year three times and brings a conversational interview style that generates unique content that has made him one of the nation’s leading hosts. The other members of the morning show crew – Chuck Wicks, Terri Clark, Ashley Figueroa, Robin Meade and Erika Grace Powell – each give listeners a reason to wake up and smile with their varied musical backgrounds, vibrant personalities and knowledge of the industry.
