Grand Rapids: WBBL Brings Back Michael Grey For Mornings

Michael Grey
Cumulus Grand Rapids announces that Sports WBBL 107.3 FM debuts its new morning show, The Michael Grey Show, today, featuring popular Grand Rapids radio personality Michael Grey. The Michael Grey Show will air on 107.3 WBBL weekdays from 6:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. Grey will be joined by co-host Ryan Schuiling.

The show marks a return to WBBL and Grand Rapids radio for Grey, who hosted The Bakita & Grey Show on WBBL mornings from 2009–2011. Prior to that, he hosted shows on WKLQ from 2004-2009, and on WGRD from 1997-2004. Grey headed west to Omaha in 2011 to host his own talk show at the ESPN affiliate KXSP, followed by two years on ESPN affiliate KIRO in Seattle, where he covered the Seahawks back-to-back Super Bowl runs, the rebuilding of the Seattle Mariners and the home of American soccer with the Seattle Sounders. He also wrote a weekly sports column, The Grey Area, for MyNorthwest.com.

Dave Jaconette, Program Director for Sports 107.3 WBBL said: “We are thrilled to have Michael Grey back on 107.3 WBBL. After successful stints in Omaha and Seattle, Michael is back to talk with fans about the teams he loves. And I'm very happy that Ryan Schuiling will be joining him on what will be one of West Michigan's most exciting sports talk shows. With Michael and Ryan, and producer OJ, The Michael Grey Show will be the best coverage of Michigan sports in the morning!  It's a great addition to our already strong line-up of shows.”

Grey said: “I cannot begin to explain how excited I am to be back in West Michigan and back at WBBL and Cumulus. I'm incredibly fortunate to get a chance to do what I love in the place that will always be my home. I cannot wait to get started.”
