Limbaugh Spox Wins Suit Against StopRush Activist

Brian Glicklich
Brian Glicklich, a spoesman for radio talker Rush Limbaugh, has been awarded $10K in legal expenses to be paid by a StopRush Campaign activist.

A judge rules Carol Wallin must pay for Glicklich's legal fees after posting false information about Limbaugh during a campaign to intimidate advertisers to not air commercials during Limbaugh's syndicated radio show.

Glicklich says Wallin, and others in the StopRush Campaign, have been posting threatening messages on social media aimed at him and his family. Glicklich has chronicled this case on his own website.

The ruling Friday comes after Wallin had filed a harrassment lawsuit against Glicklich for publishing her name online but never served him papers.  He filed an Anti-SLAPP motion against her. Wallin never showed up to court so the judge dismissed her suit but Glicklich still had to pay his legal fees for what turned out to be a frivolous lawsuit.

The rationale for the Anti-SLAPP law is that many harassing litigants file suits and then strategically dismiss them, to force the respondent to incur legal fees without recourse. The law was created so litigants could still be punished for their behavior if they strategically dismissed suits.
