Wanted: The Best Imaging Voices

Benztown, an international radio imaging, production library, programming, jingles and voice-over services company and one of the fastest-growing privately held companies in the U.S., announces its second annual Benztown 50, the radio industry’s exclusive ranking of the top 50 voice-over artists in the U.S. and Canada.

The 2016 Benztown 50 ranking will be based on several criteria, including number of radio station affiliates, station size and market. Benztown has partnered with P1 Research to compile and analyze industry data that will be the foundation for this distinction. The list is currently in development and will be released to the industry this fall. Voice talent can apply for the Benztown 50 at www.benztown.com/50.

Dave “Chachi” Denes, Benztown President said: “With the huge success of last year’s inaugural Benztown 50, the Benztown and P1 Research teams couldn’t be happier to expand this year’s list to include Canadian VO artists. In this burgeoning era of more audio companies vying for the ears of listeners, we believe that VO artists are more integral to the process of defining brands and creating stationality than ever before. We’re proud to shine a much-deserved light on VO artists and look forward to sharing the results with the industry.”

Ken Benson, President of Research for P1 Research said: “P1 Research is teaming with Benztown to honor the nameless, yet vital voices that play an essential role in today’s radio branding. This year we are excited to be expanding our Voice Power Index beyond the United States to honor the signature voices of the Canadian radio market, too. Our proprietary algorithm will be evaluating a tremendous amount of data to determine 2015's Benztown 50 Voice Power Index. We look forward to working with Benztown to honor the unsung heroes of our industry."
