Non-Profit Survivor Radio Launches for Cancer Survivors

Survivor Radio, a brand-new Georgia 501c3 Not-For-Profit Corporation, has launched of its digital radio station at www.survivorradio.org.

Survivor Radio is an inspirational celebration of all cancer survivors and everyone who has family, friends or loved ones who have been impacted by the disease. The digital station is an upbeat mix of good music across multiple formats and talk content that includes the sharing of personal stories about cancer, interviews, and information about the latest in cancer research and treatment.

Importantly, Survivor Radio will raise money for patients that may need help with medical bills, a ride to chemotherapy treatments, food, medicine or even help fulfilling a bucket list. The station will be a connecting point for cancer survivors and fighters and those who love them, and will offer support and encouragement to the entire Survivor Radio listener family.

Melodie Mills – whose husband, radio executive Steve Mills was diagnosed and survived Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma – is one of the creators of Survivor Radio, along with broadcast veteran Richard “Dick” Stadlen, who also has a history of cancer in his family. It is Stadlen who created Survivor Radio’s unique mix of music.
