SF Radio: Lee Hammer New OM At KGO, KSFO

Cumulus Media announces that it has promoted veteran San Francisco News/Talk/Sports radio professional Lee Hammer to Operations Manager for San Francisco radio stations N/T KGO 810 AM and N/T KSFO 560 AM.

Hammer will continue to serve as Operations Manager/Program Director for Sports KNBR 680 AM and Sports KTCT 1050 AM. Hammer has been the Program Director of KTCT for 18 years, and the Program Director of KNBR for 10 years. He has been interim Operations Manager/Program Director for KGO and KSFO since earlier this year.

Hammer started his career at KXRX in San Jose as a News Editor and Talk Show Producer, and then served KCBS in San Francisco as a News Editor for 16 years, before joining KNBR and KTCT in 1998. He has also produced and engineered Stanford football and San Francisco Giants baseball, and produced Oakland Raiders football and San Francisco 49ers football.

Justin Wittmayer, Vice President and Market Manager for Cumulus San Francisco said: “Lee has been instrumental in leading KGO and KSFO over the past year while continuing to deliver record breaking ratings for KNBR. We are confident that, with his considerable expertise within the talk format, he will take our NewsTalk stations to new heights.”
