D/FW: Cumulus's WBAP, KLIF Shuffle Shows

D/FW Cumulus Media Talkers KLIF 570 AM and WBAP 820 AM are beginning the New Year with a few lineup changes.

According to press release from the stations:
  • The Savage Nation, hosted by Michael Savage, is moving from WBAP to KLIF, where he will be in the 2 to 5 p.m. slot. The move makes room for Rick Roberts to join WBAP from 2 to 5. Both moves are effective today, as in Monday, Jan. 4, 2016.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports this is a return to DFW for Roberts, a former talker in the mid-990s for rival station KRLD 1080 AM. Since then, he has had stops in San Diego and Oklahoma City. According to his WBAP bio, he’s a former attorney who specialized in energy law who did a guest spot on a Denver station so well that he was invited to give talk radio a try.

Savage’s move to KLIF means that The Stinchfield Report, hosted by businessman/former NBC 5 investigative reporter/one-time congressional candidate Grant Stinchfield, will move to the 5 to 8 p.m. slot on KLIF.

KLIF is also returning The Laura Ingraham Show to its lineup, in the 11 a.m.-2 p.m. slot, dropping Jonathon Brandmeier’s show. And Coast to Coast AM With George Noory returns in the midnight-5 a.m. slot, replacing Midnight in the Desert, formerly hosted by Art Bell. The Glenn Beck Program, already on KLIF, shifts an hour earlier, to an 8 a.m.-11 p.m. slot.
