San Diego Radio: Alberto Mier y Teran Named GM Of KFMB Stations

Midwest Television, Inc., parent company of CBS 8/KFMB-TV, Me-TV, KFMB 760 AM, 100.7 KFM-BFM and KFMB Interactive, announced the appointment of Alberto Mier y Terán as President and General Manager of the KFMB Stations, effective February 1.

Mier y Terán returns to KFMB where he formerly held positions in local and regional sales nearly 20 years ago.

"I am thrilled to welcome Alberto back to the company where he began his broadcast career. Throughout his career he has built strong relationships with his employees, advertising partners and the community," said Elisabeth Kimmel, President and Owner of Midwest Television, Inc.

"His breadth of experience in strategic planning and overseeing multiple markets and media platforms will be an asset in his management of the KFMB Stations' television, digital and radio properties."

Mier y Terán's new appointment follows an impressive 16 year career with Entravision Communications and Univision Communications, Inc., where he most recently served as Executive Vice President of Univision Television Group from 2014 to 2015.
