Seattle Radio: Kenny Jay Named New PD At KMPS-FM

Kenny Jay has been named Program Director for KMPS 94.1 FM, CBS RADIO’s country station in Seattle, it was announced today by Kevin McCarthy, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, CBS RADIO Seattle.

The appointment is effective on Monday, Jan. 25.

Jay spent the past two years programming KMNB 102.9 FM, BUZ’N @102.9 for CBS RADIO in Minneapolis.  He joined the station in 2012 as Assistant Program Director.

“We were looking for a bright, innovative thinker who is at ease working across the various platforms that today’s country listener engages with every day,” said McCarthy.  “Kenny’s that guy.”

Prior to joining KMNB-FM, Jay was the Brand Manager for WUBB 106.9 FM (BOB 106.9) in Savannah, Georgia.  He also held several on-air and programming positions for Mid-West Family Broadcasting in Madison and La Crosse, where he won multiple Wisconsin Broadcasters Association awards.
