Blair Garner Goes Under the Hood with a New Podcast

Blair Garner, host of NASH/America’s Morning Show and newly-named inductee to the Country Radio Hall of Fame, has partnered with Advance Auto Parts to create Under the Hood, a new, custom podcast that is all about cars. The first monthly podcast debuted Wednesday, January 27, 2016.

New podcasts will be released on the last Wednesday of each month through the end of 2016. The podcasts are presented by Advance Auto Parts, a leading automotive aftermarket parts provider in North America. The podcast is the latest on-demand audio offering to come out of Westwood One Studio and will be produced at the world-class NASH campus in Nashville, TN. The Advance Auto Parts Under the Hood podcasts are available on audioBoom and iTunes.

Garner, an admitted car aficionado who bought his first car at age 11, currently owns 13 vehicles – including his favorite, a 1968 Pontiac Firebird Convertible. Under the Hood lets him drive that passion for cars into original content dedicated to car enthusiasts everywhere and featuring car tips, car talk, DIY projects and more.

“This is the first time that I’ve been able to really share my passion for cars, and I cannot thank Advance Auto Parts enough for the opportunity,” said Garner. “I’ve been a longtime customer of Advance Auto, and I’m totally psyched to get under the hood with my car buddies. We’ll be talking everything cars, from what’s new in the pipeline, how to keep your car on the road for as long as you can, and occasionally a look back at some of the classic cars of the past. I can’t wait to get started.”

Kelli Hurley, Westwood One’s VP, National Partnerships & Digital Activation/Midwest, said “This is an exciting time for Westwood One as we launch our first customized podcast specifically designed for Advance Auto Parts. Our partnership with audioBoom allows us to bring a unique technology to the table that surpasses our competitors in the space, allowing Advance Auto Parts to engage with their consumers via this content across various social channels as well as their company site. This is truly an example of Westwood One’s power in the space -- connecting a personality to a brand, creating custom content, and distributing it digitally, socially, and cross-promoting within our vast network of broadcast and digital streams.”
