Shreveport Radio: Cory Ryan OUT At KVKI 96.5 FM

Cory Ryan, who co-hosted the Cory and Elizabeth (Morales) in the Morning show on AC KVKI 06.5 FM is no longer on the show or employed by Townsquare Media, according to The Times.

No explanation was given about why Ryan and Townsquare parted ways. When contacted by The Times, Ryan just said he was “seeking gainful employment.”

Ryan and Morales joined forces in March 2014 to launch “the new sound of KVKI” after longtime hosts Robert J. Wright and Erin McCarty were moved to the KEEL Morning News show.

Born and raised in Shreveport, Ryan is the son of “loveable” Larry Ryan, host of one of Louisiana’s longest running daily radio shows on KLKL 95.7 FM.

Cory Ryan and Morales were noted for their banter on the morning show and for discussing hot topics with call-in fans between songs.
