NYC Radio: Rachel Allyn Band Visits NashFM 94.7

The Rachel Allyn Band stopped by the WNSH NashFM 94.7 studios Thursday in New York City to chat with Jesse Addy.

The up and coming band has a new EP, Next Year’s Girl, which comes out tomorrow and will be available on iTunes. Rachel says that a mix of Elvis Costello’s This Year’s Girl and the hope that she will be "next year’s girl’ gave the band the name for their EP. While in the studios, the band performed the single from the EP, Next Year's Girl, along with their other songs, No Second Chances and Perfect.

When it comes to songwriting, Rachel mentioned that she usually starts with one lyric and then searches for a melody to match it.
