G-R Radio: Townsquare Launches Magic 94.1 FM

Fans of R&B in West Michigan have a new option when they turn on their radios.

According to a release from the station, W231DD MAGIC 94.1 will feature contemporary, as well as classic R&B.  The station's translator is being source via WLHT 95.7 HD2.

The station will feature a lineup of The Steve Harvey Morning Show, Yasmin Young, who has also worked on stations in Buffalo and Charlotte, N.C., on middays, with program director Ed Spillers, known on-air as Lee Stephens, in the afternoon drive slot. Keith Sweat’s syndicated show will air in the evening.

The release also said that the station plans to be active in the community.

“We are very committed to becoming heavily involved in the community, and dedicated to serving as a platform to shine a light on events, news, concerns and opportunities in Grand Rapids,” Spillers said in the release.
