L-A: Michael Levine Named New PD At Country KKGO

Michael Levine
Mount Wilson FM Broadcasters has announced the promotion of Michael Levine to Program Director at its Country KKGO 105.1 FM in Los Angeles.

Levine will reports to his father Saul Levin, President of Mount Wilson FM Broadcasters.  Most recently, he's been Station Manage and Marketing Director.

In making the official announcement, Saul Levine stated, "I placed KKGO-FM on the air on February 18, 1959. I feel gratified that as a pioneer broadcaster, KKGO has been successful in bringing country radio back to Southern California, and creating one of the most recognized and successful country radio stations in the USA. It is with a profound sense of confidence that I make the announcement today that the new KKGO Go Country 105.1 Program Director is Michael A. Levine.

"In recent years [Levine] has been part of the selection process of music to be performed on Go Country 105. He has developed a keen ear for the selection of new music to be performed, plus he has a strong sense of the challenges that lie ahead for terrestrial radio, and a grasp of the things to be done to succeed in the developing digital era."
