R.I.P.: Longtime Delaware Production Voice Damien Buck

Damien Buck
Longtime WDEL/WSTW Production Director Damien Buck died Tuesday, October 9, 2017, after a long illness, according to the WDEL 1150 AM / 101.7 FM.

He was 58.

Buck began working for Delmarva Broadcasting Company in 1987, in an impressive career that spanned three decades. Co-workers said he'll be sorely missed by the Delmarva Broadcasting family and listeners.

"Damien worked for 30 years at WDEL and WSTW, helping our customers come up with great commercials and many, many people here are familiar with his voice," said General Manager Mike Reath. "It's a voice that everyone in town would recognize. He was a creative genius."

Buck, who ran his own production company, "Buck Productions," did voice work for Disney, and his voice was featured all over the Disney Channel when it launched in the 1990s, Reath said.
